Warriors of Klash: Reclamation

Episode 1: Aedrian City
Crew Meetup

Introduced Rhasja, Vult, Rainer, Valthior, and Rogue.

The group talked to Sir Raleigh Waiss inside the Hearty Lion after meeting the barkeep, Cirque de Aedrian, and accepted a mission to clear the Burgoise Bandits from their outpost.

Rhasja and Valthior talked to a Soldier. This soldier apprehended the two and sent them to the mayor, Ciel de Faux. Ciel let them off with a warning after Valthior’s sharp diplomacy helped them out.

Rogue met a strange, cloaked figure. He reveals a much higher wage if the group moves to the next town instead of staying in Aedrian. Rogue says he’d have to think about it.

Rainer talked to a scared man in the street, named Doorken. Doorken reveals that he used to be the right hand man to the mayor, but that the mayor hasn’t been acting himself lately. He believes that the mayor isn’t who he says he is, considering he fired Doorken without even being there to tell him in person.

The Plot Thickens

At the behest of Sir Raleigh Waiss, the crew decides to go to Burgoise Manor to clear it of the bandits. Rhasja boldly steps up to the mansion and convinces two guards that he wishes to join their rank. The crew watched helplessly as Rhasja went into their lair without the possibility of aid.

After some time, Rhasja was permitted into the secret underground room that housed their leader, but strangely enough, it wasn’t Burgoise, but rather one of his underlings, named Soril. Soril revealed after Rhasja was in too deep that he was the leader of the watch responsible for guarding the ocean when Rhasja attacked in Al’alade’eme. Now, he planned on getting payback in the form of branding Rhasja a traitor and forcing him to serve under Soril.

Rhasja had other plans, as the group snuck in and waited for the right moment to enter the secret chambers.

He activated his ultimate ability, Rhasja’s Persuasion, and got a few guards on his side, as everyone else piled into the room. After a near death of Rhasja, the group was successful in defeating Soril, Rhasja obtained Soril’s Scimitar as a reward, and the group investigated the room, discovering a variety of Aedrian Guard uniforms, proving that the guards of the city were most likely the bandits themselves.

Liberating Aedrian

The group enters the city, not to praise for clearing the mansion of bandits, but instead to swords drawn. They are imprisoned for trespassing on Burgoise Manor, and thrown in jail. Inside the jail, they meet a curious person: Ciel de Faux, the real mayor.

After fully realizing that the Burgoise Bandits had taken Aedrian City, the group decides they must take it back. Rogue pickpockets the guard and releases the group and they all don Aedrian Guard uniforms. Once safely back at the Hearty Lion, they orchestrate a plan. Late at night, Rhasja meets with the guard that tried to arrest him to begin with, asking her to bring a meal to the mayor.

Struck by Rhasja’s strong gifts of persuasion and rugged looks, she agrees, and does so the following day. After the fake mayor eats the food, he promptly collapses, dead. Unfortunately, the guard was still around, and the other guards beat her to death in the streets, as Rogue looked on in terror.

After the group killed many of the guards in the mayor’s house, the other ones realized that the jig was up, and retreated into their true base, Burgoise Outpost. Our heroes followed, eventually coming to this powerful base. It was here that the expert bowman Valthior killed one of the guards stationed on a watchtower, while the others went through a gap in the fence to infiltrate the camp.

Rogue also fired, but missed his shot, almost resulting in an alarm being sounded, but luckily an expert shot from Rainer’s Crossbow made quick work of him. Rogue snuck into what ended up being the barracks, and as he entered, the door creaked, waking the men up.

The group made a last stand in the mess hall, and Rogue activated his ultimate ability, Lifeblood, draining all enemies around them as they killed them all off, one by one.
One final guard ran off and warned the apparent leader of the camp, Burgoise de Aedrian, and a fierce battle ensued.

After the defeat of Burgoise, the group was finally welcomed to Aedrian as heroes, everyone praising their names and drinks were given out for free for the success of the mission. The rightful mayor rehired Doorken, gave out gold, as well as Burgoise Manor to the group for reclaiming the town as the people’s once more.

Episode 2: Bastion
A Plunge into Mystery

After the liberation of Aedrian City, the group meets Karrion, who was working on teleportation crystals in the city. After meeting a mysterious traveler from Triniak, the group and Karrion head that to northern Triniak to investigate the possible location of Valthior’s Spritzen enemy.

Through a strange chain of events, Vult disappears as the group sleeps in a cave, and as they plunged into the darkness of the deeper crevice of their temporary house, they pass out from a strange ringing in their ears.

When they awake, they are within Bastion, granted passage by a blind gatekeeper after gaining strange eye markings on their bodies.

Inside this strange city, the group went into the local tavern and quickly realized that the inhabitants were not only hostile, they were barely human. After defeating the residents of the bar, the group went outside to discover the library (where Karrion wanted to go) was being set alight by even more strange people.

After killing the people, Karrion recklessly entered the library, sustaining heavy burns, but gained a locked journal and a map, which Karrion quickly deciphered as a map of the “Cathedral District.”
The heroes made their way to the local clinic, where they met a young healer, Isophica. The terrified nurse welcomed the motley crew, and revealed that she was treating several patients, one of which was missing an arm and leg. Immediately, a horrible thud was heard from outside, and quickly the nurse shows the group a hidden room behind a bookcase.

After holding their breath and praying to not be heard by the beast, it leaves and they exit, finding that the creature had taken one of the struggling patients stricken by the strange disease that choked this city.
